The Jones Surf Series is our collection of surf-inspired unisex snowboards designed by renowned surfboard shaper Chris Christenson. Every model is a unique shape that rides differently, yet they all offer effortless glide and fluid turn performance thanks to rocker profiles and 3D Contour Bases inspired by Christenson’s fastest-gliding surfboard shapes.

Shaped by Chris Christenson

The 2027 Surf Series continues a design partnership with Christenson that began in 2012 with the debut of the original Mountain Surfer. Based in Encinitas and Mammoth, California, Christenson is both a lifelong surfer and snowboarder. His company, Christenson Surfboards, makes everything from contest boards to longboards and record-breaking big-wave guns for some of the best surfers in the world.

Christenson’s Surf Series boards reflect design elements from his surfboards that he adapts into hand-shaped prototype board templates made out of thin pieces of wood. He shapes the outline and rocker profiles of the wood templates using the same tools he uses to shape surfboards.

New graphics from a timeless craft

The new Surf Series collection pays homage to Moonlight Glassing’s airbrush mastery and many of the iconic designs that emerged from the ‘70s onwards. Each model is styled with its own colorway, channeling decades of surf heritage into a clean, vibrant aesthetic for the surf-inspired freeride line.

Ideal for surf-inspired turns in any terrain

Turn pow fields into your freestyle playground with the Twincraft, Chris Christenson’s latest addition to the Surf Series. Shaped with an extra-wide directional twin outline and short sidecut radius, it wants to rail tight turns and spin or butter off every feature. Pump natural terrain, pop pillows and get pitted on the landing – the Twincraft finds its calling in deep snow playgrounds and continues to bring freestyle energy to slushy spring days.

Redesigned: Mind Expander 2.0

Expand your mind, expand your mountain. The cult-favorite alternative all-mountain snowboard gives riders the freedom to draw lines that blend freeride, freestyle and surf styles in any terrain. Redesigned with a new shape, profile and sidecut, the Mind Expander delivers more versatility and all-conditions performance than its predecessor, while keeping its iconic feel in powder.

Limited Edition Mercury FASE® Snowboard Binding

For 2027, we’ve released a limited edition Surf Series colorway of our bestselling Mercury FASE® binding. Featuring a grayscale airbrushed gradient to match the snowboard designs and the iconic Christenson Surfboards skull on the highback, the fast-entry binding is perfectly paired to the performance specs of every board in the Surf Series, for a blend of freeride power and surfy freestyle feel.
